Blackberry Pudding
1 c. blackberry jam
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 level tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix together all above ingredients and bake 30 minutes or until done.
SAUCE:
1-1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
Mix well. Then add 2 scant cups boiling water and boil mixture until it thickens. Add 1/2 cup butter or margarine and vanilla to taste. Cut pudding in squares and place in a bowl. Cover with this sauce. Repeat layers until your bowl is filled.
